In The Wildflowers

Just as you finally enter into adulthood, marriage or beginning to grow your family, you take a glance over your shoulder, relieved that your childhood is behind you – hoping that the demons of the past will stay there.  And then, you endure pregnancy and infant loss.  The messages that your body is unworthy, that you do not belong, that you are broken, can flood the empty spaces where joyful motherhood should be.

If this is you, or, if you have not endured pregnancy and infant loss but have endured childhood sexual abuse and long for healing, you are invited to join us, In The Wildflowers.

A brand-new curriculum series with DVDs and workbooks for those who need healing from sexual abuse. “In the Wildflowers” is a 10-part DVD series with accompanying curriculum. Each of the 10 steps will feature a Christian counseling professional who will focus on a particular stage in the healing process as well as the visual storytelling of Julie Woodley and other women’s personal journeys.

The Wildflowers project is for women and men (separate group sessions) who have suffered the trauma of childhood sexual abuse or other trauma as well as anyone who may have encountered various degrees of violations (emotional, physical or spiritual) in their youth and/or adulthood. Through a 10-step process, “In the Wildflowers” offers caring, understanding and hope to survivors.

Wildflowers group participants meet once a week for ten weeks, working through the ten steps of the program and viewing the DVD’s with a qualified facilitator. During this time each participant is strongly encouraged to meet with a professional counselor on an individual basis.  The journey includes: Listening to Stories, Releasing Shame, Messages & Self Identity, Healing Mother & Father Wounds,  Discovering Beauty of Feminine Strength, Understanding & Caring for Spouses of Survivors, and more.

The M0M Center holds In The Wildflowers group sessions.
